I have seen bits and pieces of this shoot floating around tumblr but never the whole set, so.. i am very glad i finally came across the photographer. Lachlan Bailey's work is so raw and sharp yet somehow soft and beautiful. I love when i see photography like this, simple photography really captures my eye... plus Edita looks absolutely incredible in these photo's, as she always does! there is something really special about her. her face is perfect and her limbs go on forever. i can bet you that some of these photo's will be going up on my wall very soon!

I instantly fell in love with these photo's from the moment I laid my eye on them. the soft background really contrast with the sharp figure but it still works because of how beautiful and natural the colours are.

I knew I would adore the work of Daniel Luxford from only looking at this particular shoot (and I was right, his photography is stunning)! just like this set of photo's, Daniel only uses very natural colours. the use of the natural colours is brilliant, and the way he creates the figure to stand out is extremely effective! I will most definitely be posting more of his work!

Christina Dietze is also a gem! one of the reasons I love her look is of course her wonderful cheek bones and jaw line. I have loved her blog for a long time, and was devastated when it disappeared... but SHE'S BACK (and brunette), with her new website src783.com.au (which is coming soon) as well as her brand new magazine which will be available soon in all general pants stores! gosh, i am actually so excited!!

i seriously cannot get over how amazing this beautiful girl's eyes are, these photo's are not photoshopped one little bit and you can still see the crystal blue colour from a mile away! she has prodigious bone structure as well. her diamond faced shape amazes me and her jaw line is just incredible. she is just so stunning, but not a plain stunning at all; she definitely is very interesting looking!

This wonderful creature's name is Karin Hansson; and she is currently with with MIKAs in Stockholm and Next model management in New York. i know she will do very well in the modeling industry, i mean, how could she not?

Akaash Nihalani is a one of a kind street artist based in brooklyn who uses bright coloured tape to create geometric pieces of art. The tape is added to the environment to create incredible 3 dimensional illusions, which brings joy to the surroundings and creates a playful environment. I love how this isn't your everyday street art but it is so much more interesting and cool!

the photo's above are just a few of the many photo's taken on my trip to thailand. thailand was so beautiful; the water was crystal clear blue, the scenery was magnificent, the weather was so humid and the whole trip was amazing. going to the phi phi islands were definitely the highlight of the trip, everything about it was just incredible. sorry the photo's aren't the best quality as they were all taken from an underwater camera. i wish i could have captured these shots with my good camera to display how amazing these scenery actually actually was!

Christophe Kutner is such a brilliant photographer, and wow he really knows how to get a great shot. I have loved the work of Christophe ever since i found his set 'modern lovers' involving the beautiful Rachel Rutt.

I am now so glad to have found this set. The photo's are all so natural and light, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley just looks so incredible! Rosie is a fabulous model, and i wouldn't have expected her to model in photo's like these but she really works well in them. i am so happy to have seen another side of her other than in Victoria's Secret, she is truly beautiful.

Another thing is that, every one of these photo's are something to wow about. they are quite amazing. the light tones and harsh sunlight mixed with the dusty background creates such a beautiful setting for this set of photo's.

i love this collection soooooooo much, it is probably my favourite collection of ss12. i am really into the bohemian/gypsy look and this collection definitely portrays that look so well! the colours are just so beautiful and bold; then the material is so very elegant and feminine, it is so gorgeous and works so well together. i seriously want this whole collection in my wardrobe, gosh i would wear all of the outfits everyday! my absolute favourite outfit is definitely the first two, as the colour in them really stands out and is so amazing.

I have been wearing my new black shorts so many times this week, i have literally fallen in love with them. so glad i picked them up in general pants when my grandmother took me shopping, yay! i also got a few other bits and pieces which i will show you all soon. i really do like the whole black on black idea, but only if all the clothing are different materials. i always wear my sheer black cardigan if am going for an all black look, because it isn't too 'in your face'. today i also decided to wear an old (really old) pink sheer cardigan that i found stuffed in my wardrobe. i haven't worn it since i was about 6 or 7 but i though why not, since it look really lovely underneath. have a great day everyone, hopefully the sun will come out again! I absolutely love these photo's, not only are they cool and crazy but they have an electric feel to them which is mostly coming from the models hair (charlotte carey). the clothing is also brilliant, it has this bohemian/rock chic/carefree/ look to it which i am totally into at the moment! the low light lighting really brings out the model herself and the amazing clothes she is wearing. everything just looks perfect. these photo's make me want to just dance around and go insane!! who else wants to go and party right now.. even though it is midday for me haha

last night was a good and fun night filled with friends, laughs and whole lot of lasers. it was my friends good bye party since she goes back to america very soon, and since she is basically a big kid we decided to play some laser force. it was heaps of fun, but very tiring... then we just sat around southbank for 2 hours chilling and chatting.

i found a pack of watercolour paints in the garage the other day, so i thought i would give them a go. i have never done a full watercolour painting, so these were my very first proper watercolour paintings ever. i actually really enjoyed doing them, as i did them in less than 30 minutes and didn't get bored at all.. plus there was no mess at all which was definitely a bonus!

Juliana Santacruz Herrera is an artist who has transformed the cracks throughout the streets of paris into wonderful and colourful pieces of art. she saw the cracks and potholes of the city as a 'canvas' for her project. she has created these masterpieces using bright and colourful yarn. the yarn is braided and coiled into the breaks of the streets.

This is such a beautiful idea and it really brightens up the streets in such a magnificent way, one day i will visit paris and definitely keep a lookout for these amazing pieces!

I love these shots of Zippora Seven by Benni Valsson, they are so naturally beautiful! what i love most is the use of the dark lighting, it really makes the images so soft but feisty. zippora has such a beautiful face, she is so raw and fierce but then she has an elegant side to her as well. she is definitely one of my favourite models, and even though she is not that tall she is definitely doing very well in the industry which i like!

the necklace i wore today is so lovely and big, and it reminds me of a necklace alicia kuczman would wear! i quite like the style of it, it looks quite bohemian too which is why i like it so much!

i found this necklace in my mums room which is not surprising since she actually has the coolest jewelery! i always go looking for treasure in her room, it is so fun to discover her accessories, and bits and pieces.

everyone should be so extremely happy right now, because summer is finally here!! everything about summer is so much fun, exciting, and just so enjoyable and that is way summer is clearly the best time of the whole year. it is the time to just enjoy life at its fullest!

the photo's above are all screenshots of billabongs own summer videos, these short videos are basically what australian summer is all about. a huge smile takes over my face when i watch these, they are just so carefree and beautiful which makes me so happy!

i decided to create a mood/inspiration board involving a bunch photos and quotes that really inspire me and like. i was stuck at first with what to put on it but then i went through heaps of websites and finally decided what i want to put on it. i don't believe there is a theme to it but all the photo's seem to go together really well.

the photo's above are just a few of the many photo's saved on my computer that i hope to put on my pin board. these include abbey lee kershaw, hippie and carefree photos, art from allison schulnik and ben quilty, also alicia kuczman and her amazing style.

i am really into hippie things and the bohemian style so basically my mood board really reflects this. i can't wait to actually put all the photo's on it!

Gillian Zinser plays my favourite character on 90210, IVY. She is just so cool! Cass Bird is an incredible photographer and all of her photo's turn out to be so beautiful and real. I wish i could just post every single photo of hers, but that would be over hundreds so i am just sticking with the ones above. These photos are just a few of my favourites. The colouring and texture of the photo's made up of pure natural lighting and barely any artificial lighting really create these photo's to be something special. Her photo's are such an inspiration to my own photography but also for my summer.

i always love seeing photo's of models eating, because it proves that the people who think that they don't, are very wrong. I also love seeing photos backstage of fashion shows stating that the models are not allowed to go on the runway if they haven't eaten beforehand. this also proves that the fashion industry do care for the models appearance and their eating lifestyle. also, looking at these photo's actually makes me hungry, that's how good some of the food looks!

my new shoes that i ordered a while ago from urban outfitters arrived at my door a couple of days ago! i haven't had the chance to wear them properly but i have definitely been wearing them around the house for no reason! i love the colour, the wooden platform and just everything about these shoes. it is so good because i feel really tall but it doesn't feel like i am wearing heels at all!

this is what i wore the other day (i felt like creating an outfit post about it). this outfit includes urban outfitters wooden platforms, forever new white jumpsuit (i bought it like two years ago and have never worn but i am currently loving it, and i can't wait to wear it all summer!) and factorie knitted jumper. I hope you are all enjoying the sun!

summer is so near, can you believe it is only 14 days away? i can even tell it's close because i got a mozzie bite the other day (the first one is so so long)!!

a day at the beach - part 1

Yesterday i took some photo's of my brother down at my dad's house just on sunset, the photo's all involve some beautiful lighting from the sun and the water. All these shots are natural, calm and relaxing which really brings life into them.

It was the first time i have taken shots of my brother like this, and he didn't really know what to do at the start but i lead him most of the way and eventually he definitely worked the camera! he also really enjoyed it, which is always good. taking these photo's just as the sun went down was most certainly the perfect time for it, the scenery was amazing and each photo has some sun hitting it which makes the most amazing photo.

I am happy with these shots, and i liked taking them a lot. it was a great bonding session with the brother haha! I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and summer is just around the corner (only 24 days!!) sooo get excited :-)

i have recently discovered the photographer Christophe Kutner, and my favourite project of his so far is "modern lovers." all his photographs are beautiful but this project is so amazing and natural. I love how all the photo's are in black and white, black and white photographs are always so lovely. every photo is free and lively yet relaxed and calm, which is what i really like about these photos'. it makes me wish for summer so much more, and a summer like this would extraordinary. somewhere deserted and alone with a bunch of friends, that is true bliss.

One thing i can tell from this project is that he has used no flash in any of the photographs, which i love because using natural light brings out the beauty of each photograph so well!

Another thing that i adore about these photographs is the use of Rachel Rutt, now she is the definition of pure natural beauty! i envy her so much! the way she is photographed in these photos are amazing and she just works so well with this project!

There are now only 29 days till summer, which is less then a month so i am very excited! hope you all enjoy these photos just as much as i do, and i hope you have a lovely week!

today i was home, sick and what is better to do when there is nothing to do than take millions of photos of yourself, cleaning your bedroom, reading some magazines, tanning in the sun and online shopping! oh and i also had to study for my exams which are coming up in 3 weeks!!

of course i did some online shopping and bought these beautiful shoes for only $20 off urban outfitters, but then in the end it cost $50 because shipping it to down under is so expensive! well, i don't mind because $50 is a pretty good price for shoes like these and before they were on sale they were $80 so i think it was a good choice!

The fun thing about being an interior designer is completely designing your own home; it seems that Abigail Ahren definitely had a good time doing this! her home is filled with quirky objects and furniture which really stand out and bring life to her home. i am loving the odd pops of colour around her home, the bright coloured furniture just creates a happy and exciting home! my favourite item from the photos above is the blue/green table, the detail carved into it is so beautiful and the colour is just magnificent! the colour of the table is actually one of my favourite colours; if the table had some bright orange candles on top of it i would actually be in love because that sounds perfect to me! also, if you can spy her dog in the background of a few photos you will see how adorable he is. his face is just so adorable, like seriously aaaaw...

well i am in class now, procrastinating on doing work while watching the rain pour outside! why is there rain!? it is meant to be spring, yesterday was boiling hot and the day before was freezing cold.. Melbourne weather is crazy! i just try to think about how many days till summer, and there is 37 wooo! that is just over a month, i am soo excited but now i am going back to the real world to do some school work, good bye!

just a few shots of my favourite articles from this months russh magazine, white heat. This months magazine was really great and involved some incredible articles. I liked it because it had a summer and free feel to it especially in the article shammer break, bring it because it was basically all about what Lesley Arfin (the writer of this article) loves about australian summer. i always love the feature about what type of hairstyle is in this season, and this month it is the messy weave which i love because it is like the perfect hair style and it is messy but meant to be messy. i try so hard to get my hair to look like the ones in the photos but it just never turns out that way, it never looks as good! okay well basically the moral of this post is, if you haven't gotten this months russh then you are missing out on some great articles and amazing photos!

Rag & bone are always amazing, the clothes are always so good especially they're jeans! The rag & bone diy campaign (for their jeans) that came out earlier this year is one of my favourite campaigns ever! I love how it is so natural and each of the girls photo's are completely different from the next. my favourite shots from this campaign are the ones of Edita, Lily, Karolina or Sasha as all the photos of these models involve the sun, sand, water and of their beautiful course smiles.

These photos really make me want summer more and more... and yes, i know i have been posting a lot about summer lately but it is just SO SOON and i am so EXCITED! seriously, summer is only 49 days away! i mean, really how can you not be excited (unless you live in the northern hemisphere..then that is just very sad). okay, well i hope you all have a lovely spring and i am sure most of you are just excited for summer as i am!

yesterday i wore an outfit you would probably see freja beha wearing, something "simple but edgy" although she would probably take out the pink jumper and add in one of her awesome leather jackets. she would also wear some big black chunky biker boots with look like this but i chose to go with the softer side of riding boots.

i photographed amy again today, it was a lovely day as the sun was shiny and it was not too hot but nice and warm. these shots are quite minimal and calm as only simple (and not flashy) clothing was worn.
today was a bit different though since amy's younger sister, jade, came over as well and i took some photos of her as well. i only took a couple hundred photos, which is actually not much but out of those couple hundred, i got some really good shots!
and
as i basically always do, i didn't use the flash much in any of these photo's because i like the softness of each photo when no flash is used. it really gives these shots such a beautiful effect.

Sally Mann is truly an unbelievable photogrpaher, and her photos of young (sometimes naked) children who are set free, playing around in the dirt and really having a great time are truly inspiring. these photos actually remind me of a hippy (camping) festival i go to every year; they are so beautiful. only if life was like this, and we were all hippy-like, we would all be so happy and carefree!

i am a little bit obsessed with these 'this is' products, they are all just so simple but effective. they are all very minimal jewelery that have their own unique charm. my favourite is the second last item, it is such an awesome bangle! i love how there are different spots of colours onto the all black colour. sadly these beauties are quite expensive (well expensive for me), as they range from $50 - $200.

okay, since this post is a little on the creative side already, i thought i would post this painting i did recently. it is not that amazing since it is only a trial for the main piece for art at school. i have used acrylic paint and a palette knife instead of a brush. i really like the look of a palette knife and also when it is dry it feels very rough. my inspiration for this piece is Ben Quilty. he is an amazing Australian artists who paints massive interesting paintings using a palette knife. all his paintings are incredible, as they are so cool!

just a quick couple of shots of my painting so far (i still have a lot to go), but i think it is going quite well at the moment. i guess i am using a loose and free brush stroke, so this painting is not just 'smooth and perfect' and i like the rough look of it. well, i don't really know what else there is to say but i guess if you have any questions just ask!

the collage above is the first collage i have ever made using paint. so i am sorry it is clearly not the best, but hey it is the photos placed in it that count, yeah?

it was the second day of spring today and i am definitely happy that the sun has come out to shine. oh but yesterday was not a good way to start spring (like always), as it was cold, windy and i was not in a good mood! although today has definitely cheered me up, the sun was shining, the flowers were blossoming and it just felt like a real spring day.

but to be truly honest, i just want to skip spring and fast forward straight to SUMMER! and i am so excited, because there are only 89 days tilll summer comes to melbourne! so..i am kind of planning to do a countdown from now on, so even if it's not a proper post i will be sure to write how many days till summer are left - so get ready!

big and bold colours are definitely the "big thing" this season, and Jil Sander sure knows how to mix and match eye popping colours together and still create perfection! Jil Sanders s/s 11 collection is actually amazing,it is filled with gorgeous bold coloured clothing and beautiful bright lips!

I know this post is very delayed, because colour blocking hit the top of the trends a little bit of a while ago, but hey, it is better late then never! I have to tell you, to be honest I really didn't like this style at first, i thought that putting a number of bold colours together would look odd, stupid, and you would altogether look like a lolly pop on the street.

Although, for some reason something has changed my mind. It probably was seeing so many beautiful street style photos of people wearing bright coloured clothing; every piece of clothing was worn so well and looked great! I think i need to invest in some bright coloured lipstick, a bold coloured maxi skirt, oh and of course a gorgeous coloured clutch (preferably just like the one in the third photo from the top, except all one colour).

okay, since this post was already filled with bright, bold and colour blocking colours, i though i should add in a few things arty just to make this post really pop! The first photo of some art is so awesome but i am actually not too sure of what it is. To me, it looks like all the crayons are melting. The texture of the melted crayons would be quite smooth because a crayon is smooth, but it is actually coming off the page which really gives it a great effect! I actually love it so much, i must find out who the artist is. The last photo is not as exiting but is till like it, because it is simple and the colours are quite bright (they do stand out from the white paper). I also can tell this piece is in watercolour, which reminds me that i need to learn how to watercolour paint. I really love the look of water colours, especially when it has dripped and is not perfect!

my favourite shot would probably have to be the 10th shot from the top, for some reason i really love it and it really stands out because of the white background. Amy is wearing a Vintage oversized jumper and American Aparrel corduroy skirt. as i said in the last post, i love the softness of each photo when no flash is in use. i also really like how in most of the photos the background is blurred but amy stands out and almost looks sharpened.

and this is how it went..

the first minute she came over, we ran upstairs and I gave her a bunch of clothes to put it on. When she had everything on we ran outside and i started taking as many photos of her as i could, even if she wasn't ready. it was crazy (we only had about 30-45mins), but it was worth it and the photos turned out pretty good for a short amount of time

I played around with the flash and then without the flash, and i have to say i much prefer not using the flash at all because it gives a soft look that i really like. There were more horizontal photos but they were personally not my favourite (if you would like me to post them, then i sure can). All the best vertical photos will be up soon. Also, sorry for the delay of putting up these photos. enjoy :)

Today I was going through ASOS, they have such great clothing and shoes but their accessories are exceptional. I love all their rings and bracelets but what really stood out was this rose gold cuff. I love how big and bold it is but I also love the colour. This rose gold colour really gave this giant cuff a feminine and lovely look to it. So I had a closer look at this cuff and realized that one of my favourite fashion bloggers has this exact piece of jewellery; Love Aesthetics (if you have not already seen this blog, you must check it out right now because it is amazing!). I then (once again) stalked her blog. I had a close look at all the outfits where she wore this beautiful cuff. Seeing this amazing cuff on an amazing girl made me want it even more; so I thought about it and I am still thinking about but I am pretty sure that I will get it. The bonus is that this cuff may look expensive but it's not! it is only $25 which is actually really good, since Sportsgirl charges the same amount for a small ring!

today in science i had a little bit of a stalk through The Selby, it is actually the most amazing sight for room and art inspiration. this sight takes you through the homes of the most creative people. my favourite images are the photos of their own artwork, their shelves which are usually covered by books, magazines and beautiful ornaments and also having a good look at their mood board (inspirational photos, ideas, quotes etc.). I think it is time to actually redecorate my bedroom, and when i do i will be creating a mood board of my own. My room will become my own inspiration filled with amazing photos, beautiful words, and of course me (and who i am). anyways it is finally August; and only now it feels like the final half of the year has begun. so this means new beginnings for me, which will include achieving higher grades in school, actually doing my homework, meeting new people, focusing more on my art, redecorating my room, seeing more friends, going outside more, using the computer less, talking more with my mum, trying to enjoy every minute of the day, and this list goes on... I hope you all a lovely august!

for the first time in ages i sat outisde and enjoyed the fresh air. it felt so good, the sun was shining and the weather was so nice. i also wore shorts in the first time in ages. oh i can't wait for summer; and tomorrow is the first day of august which mean it is one month closer to summer!

a gorgeous sliver ring from my mums jewelry box which she bought about a month ago while she was in Daylesford, Victoria. i swear she actually finds the best rings that are also quite cheap. this is probably one of my favourite rings that she has, and it reminds of the fork/spoon rings that you can buy from most markets.

moni haworth the photographer for johnnys bird has amazing skills, i absolutely adore her photos. every single shot is outrages, crazy and so carefree - she must have a lot of fun doing these shoots. her photos are such a big inspiration to my own photography, ooh i need to do some more photo shoots but i don't have anyone to model for me... very sad. although on a brighter note i have just reached 50 followers! which is obviously not a big number to some of the amazing blogs out there, but it is too me because i didn't even think i would gain even 10 followers so a big THANK YOU to all of you!

drawing yuri

on friday night i started to draw yuri pleskun (the photo of him with the black eye). at first it was quite a breeze because i only started with one side of the face but when i went to draw the other half of the face i struggled quite a bit. i could not get both his eyes the same shape and on the same line, and then on the right eye i kept rubbing it out and drawing it again so soon the paper started to crinkle (it was so close to ripping!). I don't think it looks exactly like him, but i know that i was pretty close. I have a whole list of models to draw next, so i will keep you updated with my upcoming drawings. for next time i also have to remember to do both eyes at the same time so that i do not have a lot of trouble like i did in this drawing.

on everybody's holiday break they deserve a 'do nothing day' and that day for me includes staying in bed all day watching as many tv shows as possible. one of those shows must be skins, especially generation 1 because it will always be the best generation. recently i have been obsessing over cassie from skins generation 1. she is by far my all time favourite character from all the generations, i just can't get over her strange but bubbly personality. the greatest part about her is obviously her relationship with sid but also her wonderful but crazy sense of style. i just love everything about her.

so it is currently my winter holidays, and this consists of many 'do nothing days', but also catching up with friends, going shopping, rearranging my room and doing a small amount of homework. oh, like wow lovely - as cassie would say.

My bedroom is all in a white/cream colour which will really bring out the colour of the plants. i am hoping to buy some small plants, and maybe a cactus. the only problem is finding the time and trying to keep them alive.

Usually when my brother and i were younger we went to find many shells on the beach and we did find amazing ones.
